This layer shows high-resolution elevation data for Maryland, collected using Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology. The data represents precise Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) capable of capturing small terrain variations at a resolution of 10 meters.
The data is sourced from the 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) through a partnership between the NRCS, FPAC BC, and the USGS. This program promotes the use of QL2 standard LiDAR data, ensuring a high level of accuracy, including a 10 cm vertical RMSE.
