(L) Groundwater Level Above Sea Level (m) (UMD)

This layer shows groundwater level above sea level for cropland areas in Maryland, representing the 'L' parameter in the GALDIT groundwater vulnerability index. GALDIT evaluates vulnerability based on six parameters: groundwater aquifer type (G), aquifer hydraulic conductivity (A), groundwater level above sea level (L), distance from shore (D), impact of present chloride content (I), and aquifer thickness (T). Each parameter is mapped and scored individually, and the results are combined to produce an overall vulnerability index. Groundwater level, measured in meters above sea level (m), is classified into ranges from less than 0 to greater than 125 m.
